THE ORIGINAL
Mewilo
In 1987: MEWILO is the first "point & click" adventure video game from the French studio COKTEL VISION.
Thousands of enthusiasts conquered by this unusual story made a trip to Martinique's historic past through the legend of the golden jars.

The player embodies a renowned parapsychologist who is called to the island to elucidate the secret buried in the heart of a home of former settlers, haunted by a spirit of sorrow.

The author, Muriel TRAMIS, engineer and novelist, of Martinique origin, revived the city of Saint-Pierre, capital of the French West Indies at the beginning of the 20th century, as it was before its total destruction in 1902 by the Mountain Pelee.

But the jolts of history do not prevent humor or lightness, and the game explores the meanders of the creole soul that we find in the dialogues of Patrick CHAMOISEAU, writer of Creole (price Goncourt 1992).

The illustrations of Philippe TRUCA are examples of "pixel art" because drawn in 16 colors, which was already a feat at the time.
